AmeriCorps is a national service program that connects thousands of Americans of all ages and backgrounds with opportunities to meet critical community needs. At Habitat for Humanity Greater Salt Lake Area, AmeriCorps members play an essential role in transforming the lives of the families and individuals we serve.

AmeriCorps members are selected from across the nation to serve one or two years of service. Through the AmeriCorps program members have the opportunity to serve their community, learn new things, make new friends and have fun!

Members serve for 10 1/2 months and  receive a monthly living stipend. After completing the program, AmeriCorps members are awarded a $6,095 Education Award that can be used to pay back eligible student loans or help pay for eligible future education. Habitat Salt Lake assists by  paying for housing and offers second-year Habitat members an additional benefit.
